We all want money and unfortunately, we need money to survive in our society. We’re judged by society based on what we have, what car we drive, how we dress and what kind of house we live in. People want to be rich monetarily because they think it will solve all their problems.
Realistically, the chances of us becoming millionaires are very slim and yet it’s a dream that many of us have. There’s nothing wrong with having goals and dreams but try and pursue something that’s more attainable. For instance, make a goal of a dream vacation that you always wanted to take. That’s more practical that trying to become the next overnight millionaire sensation.
I see this too many times where people try and make as much money as they can by working 12 plus hour days, seven days a week. They might be making a significant income and considered “rich” by society’s standards but they’re not rich in life. You can have all the money in the world but if you can’t enjoy life then you are poor by my standards.
Our time on this earth is more valuable than any amount of money. Take the time to explore and enjoy life. Regardless of how you make your money make sure to take a break every now and then and enjoy what life has to offer. Go on a bike ride, take a weekend trip out of town or read a book. We have one opportunity to live our lives to the fullest so enjoy it while you can. Be rich in life and not monetarily.
